Ok. Time to learn some tech savviness 🙂
Read the “Fix” section in the opening post in this thread and follow the instructions to disable iCloud Drive syncing your Desktop and Documents folder https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/READ-FIRST-Saves-CC-Mods-or-Library-items-disappeared-iCloud/td-p/10242133

No idea about Windows sorry. Moving your post over to the PC forum. This is the Mac forum. - puzzlezaddict2 years agoHero+
@myaw0rld73 You can find instructions for setting up iCloud Drive in Windows here (scroll down to the Windows computer section):
https://support.apple.com/guide/icloud/set-up-icloud-drive-mm203b05aec8/icloud
Except you want to disable this, or at least disable sharing for your Documents folder, or Sims 4 folder. I can't give you exact instructions because I don't know how you've set up iCloud on your PC in the first place or which option is best for you. Personally, I would disable sharing entirely, but perhaps you have a use for it. The important thing is that your Sims 4 user folder is excluded.
If you aren't sure where to look, check out the two other guides linked in that Windows section. If you still don't know what to do, let me know how you've set up iCloud and whether you have other uses for it.
Regardless of your preferences, the answer is definitely not to buy more iCloud storage. That's completely unnecessary.
