Please tell me something that can help at this point!!!

I am extremely annoyed with EA as of right now and about to get a lot of money back. I brought Sims 4 through steam it took months to get it to work properly than right after getting it to work it updated and ruined everything. It refused to link back to origins and kept asking for a code that was not sent to me from Steam or Origins. Spent months trying to fix it till it just got to a point of * there is no way to fix this so I rebought the $50 game all over again but this time on Origin its self since it obviously wouldn't work through steam to now sit here spending a week trying it install the game just to have it say complete but when i click on it all it says is install all over again I've tried plenty of things and nothing has worked this is so * ridiculous and looking it up its obvious this is a reoccurring problem with EA that they wont fix or deal with.

@realWRLDwalias First you have to decide if you want to run this game under Steam which is owned by Valve which distributes the game or Origin which is owned by EA and produces and distributes the game. When you purchase the game under Steam  you are provided a code to activate this game under Origin. It's there you just have to find it, the code is NOT sent to you. The DRM for this game as sold by EA is Origin. Under the EULA you MUST activate this game with Origin to play it. Steam's DRM is different then EA's DRM. I'm not going to argue about DRM in this post but this is your decision on how you want to play this game. Origin installs and updates different then Steam. This game will not run the same under Steam as it does under Origin. When Sims 3 was released as disc the DRM was SecureROM and was used by other distributors until Microsoft and Apple decided to not support SecueROM anymore. EA changed the DRM for Sims 3 to Origin and Sims 4 was released with Origin for DRM. FYI Sim City DRM was a red piece of paper that came with the game - I know because I'm holding it in my hand. Enough history - if your having issues with the Origin version, your in the right place. Please describe the problems that you are having the best you can.

  • @realWRLDwalias Did you properly uninstall the Steam version before installing the Sims version ? Maybe there's some left overs in the registery.
