Sorry if this is already answered but I couldn't find it. So i'm trying to get my sims engaged but when I select the propose option it disappears from the taskbar. I have tried restarting my game. I have tried breaking them up and rebuilding their relationship. Their friendship and romance are maxed out. They are both young adults and they live together.
Propose is found under Romance options, Do you say it is not there now but was there then disappeared when you clicked it without the proposal happening?
You say you broke them up. How did you do that?
I think she means that when she clicks "propose", it shows up like a icon in the sims's "to do list"/taskbar, and then when it's supposed to happen, the task just dissapears, like it has been done, but nothing happens. So the option is always there, but the task disappears, from what I understand.

This sounds to be Mod related. Please try to move the Mods folder to somewhere else like your desktop start the game and see if you are now able to propose.
If so you can start moving Mods/CC back a little at a time and test the game until you have found what caused it.
