Random Crashes

Good afternoon,

I have been dealing with random crashes in the first 5 min of playtime since January. I have tried removing all mods, repairing, reinstalling, nothing works. Game is 100% unplayable.

Update: I have also tried with DirX 9 activated instead of 11 and it crashes even faster.

  • kdisanti1  Sorry for the late reply.  Your dxdiag crashed while running and is therefore missing a lot of information, including some that may be critical here.  So I'd like to see a new one.  But first, please set your laptop screen to use its native 2560x1600 resolution, which you can do in Windows Settings > System > Display, maybe under Advanced Display Settings.

If that doesn't help, please run a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:

    • Hit Windows key-X
    • Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
    • Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes, and enter
    • The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
    • After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
    • Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator)”
    • Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes, and enter
    • Post the message you receive here

Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates.  If any install, restart again afterwards.  Then run a new dxdiag and post it here.
