Re: Aging turned off but NPCs still age up by inviting you to birthday party

That's how it works. Says so in the patch note. Don't attend if you don't want them to age up

*If you have aging turned off in the options panel, this will not invalidate that option. However, if you attend the birthday party, the Sim throwing the party will age up as a result of the party.

You don't have to attend the party for them to age up.  I had it happen on mine.  He invited me to a birthday party, but I didn't attend at all.  When I went back to play that Sim, he had aged from Young Adult to Adult, and there was nothing I could do about it.  I DIDN'T attend.  Having a birthday party is a function of auto aging, and it's turned OFF, so why is it happening?  If you can't turn it off, why does the game options make you believe it does by letting you choose No when it comes to auto aging for played sims?  That's misleading and very annoying.

They shouldn't age if you don't attend the party.

Do you have a backup from before this happened to see if it happens again ?
