Re: Best budget laptop for Sims 4 ($600-$800 budget)

@livnatlgame  I don't have personal experience with either of these, but the Acer has hardware that's much faster, and four years newer, than the Dell.  The graphics chip in the Acer is 3-4 times faster in gaming, depending on the game and who ran the benchmark, so it's not even a competition.  And such a newer machine should last a longer as well, although there's never a guarantee.

I do want to mention that you could get a proper gaming laptop, even one with 16 GB RAM, for under $800 as well, for example one of these:

I haven't done a thorough search since I don't know that you'd want one of these at all; I'm just mentioning it in case you're interested in expanding.

Idk if this is any use now but I got the MSI gf63 Thin recently (the one with rtx 3050) and it was £699 (no idea what that is in dollars) and it's doing great with sims. ultra settings. only got a slight issue when I played a family with like 20 + farm animals, and 6 sims on a huge cottage living lot with every harvestable plant in game. This was the family that always killed my old laptop. Playing that family was not an option until I got my new laptop

  • It does! This laptop is actually on my wishlist so this reply is very helpful thank you 🙂
