A lot of people were saying that you should turn off your firewall.
I ended up adding exceptions to my applications which didn't work.
My solution was to turn off my anti-virus ENTIRELY and now the content is showing.

It often happens in the Gallery, I in this case delete the cache folder from the game, It usually helps immediately. Regardless, just wait and after re-entering the Gallery these red crosses will disappear. It happens if there are too many players in the Gallery, but this is just a temporary failure,
I think you unnecessarily turned off the anti-virus, It was just a coincidence
