Re: [CURRENT ISSUE] Sims 4 DLC shows as installed, won't load in-game

Hello,

I had to download The Sims 4 again and add my DLC's back. I have some on Steam and some on the EA App. I realized that when I was playing, I only had the ones bought through EA and it said that I needed to manage the others on Steam. I went to Steam to make sure those were downloaded and now The Sims is running through Steam. I clicked 'Play' and it says I don't have the packs I was using for this game. How do I fix this? Now that it is only showing my Steam DLC's and I have everything linked.

Thank you!

@AshleyAddiction9  If you've reinstalled the game through Steam, you'll have needed to reinstall your EA App-owned packs as well.  So open the App game library, click the Sims 4 icon, click Manage > Manage Add-ons, and try to download your packs.

If the packs show as installed, and you also have the CAS Demo installed, please see this thread:

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/EA-App-claims-packs-are-installed-yet-they-are-not/td-p/12126024

Otherwise, please run searches for two or three of your missing packs.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter the folder name for one missing packs in the search field in the upper-right corner.  This is the full list of packs:

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/extras-2/available-packs-dlc/

For example, if you're looking for Seasons, you'd search for EP05 .  Wait for the search to finish, then make sure the full file path is showing under each result.  If it's not, expand the window sideways as necessary.  Take a screenshot using Windows key-shift-S and attach it to a reply here.  Then repeat for one or two more packs.

@sugaronrice  Do you have one or two Sims 4 entries in your EA App game library?  If there are two, try downloading the packs using the other entry, the one you haven't been clicking up until now.  You should see the option to "Manage add-ons" on both entries.

If that doesn't help, try uninstalling the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine) and reinstalling it.  Run the game once with just your Steam content, then restart your computer and try again to download the other packs through the EA App.

@puzzlezaddict Best answer of all Google! Just copied files like EP05. Sims was saying "Back to Work" and "Island Living" expansion packs not installed. Copied those from Steam to EA and vise versa. Did not even restart just click play. Thank you puzzleddict and AshleyAddiction!
