Re: [CURRENT ISSUE] Sims 4 DLC shows as installed, won't load in-game

hello, i am a sims 4 player and i have never encountered this issue before.

i have all the expansions and almost all the game packs and a few kits.

when i open the game to play, only basegame is showing up, and all my save files tell me i need to install the rest of the packs.

in my EA app, all my DLCs say that they are installed.

I tried clearing the cache, twice.

I tried repairing the game.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and all of the packs (took me a whole day btw).

and the packs are still not showing up in my game.

what gives?

please help!

@ThemosauL  Please list the type of install you have (EA App, Steam, mixed), which app you're using to launch the game, and the DLC that isn't loading in-game.  Please also run the search in the first post for a couple of your missing packs and post the results here.

I am using the EA app, i bought the DLC o it and i launch with it. None of my DLC are working, the five i have aren't working. I have done everything. Uninstalled reinstalled, checked the packs, repaired, downloaded the DLC again etc. I thought i was on the wrong EA account at first but even on the right one it says i own them. It's wheen i want to launch the game that it tells me that packs are missing. Except that when i go to the add ons it says i own them....

Hey, so after the last message, I followed all your steps on page 1. I combed through everything, every file etc, eg EP01. And then had the idea to do the same for the words "Sims 4". You'll see what i found on my screenshot files. I then opened each one and looked through without displacing elements. And found this (see screenshot 2). I think i did everything right. I am now waiting on the results of the clean uninstall and install via revo.

So yesterday i might have made a huge mistake. I couldn't find my EA account with my packs and 80h of game time. It had been a while since i had played. So since i had no access to my account, i created another and tried playing. My saves were there BUT my packs unattached. So i followed a tutorial to get free DLC packs.... That was my mistake. I followed all the instructions from this video: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C3lUet2aKU&lc=UgxSnJNGSFCVBfjoLvF4AaABAg.A6ztSGWz_wXA7GevU_RN6d) i put the link in parenthesis for it not to bug.

Next day i found my login info and got back on my real EA account, and i found my packs and saves and all. So i update, repair, launch. That's when i realized that the game was saying that i already owned the sims packs but whenever i wanted to launch my old games it said that my files were missing and i had to reinstall. So that's what i did. I uninstalled, reinstalled etc....

Please i know i made a mistake but i need help and i am not the only one who made this mistake. So i checked for viruses and removed all of the things i downloaded from that tutorial but it still doesn't work. I am now gonna check if your clean install has worked and will get back to you

  • @ThemosauL So, after doing the clean uninstall and install via revo. Now when i open my game it is working BUT it's like brand new no saves no extension packs...
  • @ThemosauL Nevermind, i put my old saves from the renamed old folder back into the new empty saves folder. Thank you so much your page is a lifesaver
