Re: [CURRENT ISSUE] Sims 4 Unable to Start, Game Data Missing or Damaged

Been getting this error and this is the first time I play on this darn PC. It's an upgrade from my laptop so I was excited. I contacted customer support and they couldn't help. Since the game doesn't even launch deleting the localthumbcache.package file feels useless. I just wanna play after finals. 

I can't repair it since its a steam app. I've verified the files on steam. Steam sends me over to EA Support and vice versa. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the EA and Sims 4 programs twice. I'm just so done. I love this game and I don't even know how to use mods. Somebody please help :(
