Re: Custom Content not showing up in The Sims 4

Hi, I have been trying for about two hours. I've went to several forums and I have tried everything. The CC is not downloading into the game.

All I did was go to the sims4.com official website and went to their gallery and started to select items to download. IT said it would appear in "my downloads".
It shows up in my library, but when you hover the "download" button, it is grey and it says it cannot download to game.

Any help?>>

Are you talking about Sims and Households ? Those need to be downloaded through the ingame gallery. You can't download them through the website.

its the same for me..ive been trying ever since i bought the game. No CC shows up unless its from the sims community.

i have tried everything.

i am a seasoned Sims player - since 1999 always used cc.

Its spoiling the game for me.

same for me. They are all in my mods folder, but they arent in my game???

Check under Options --> Game Options if they are enabled.

I have been trying the last three hours trying to get custom content to download for my game. I do not have any sub folders in the mods folders and custom content is enabled in the game. They are all package files and I have been putting them into my mods folder but they are just showing up when I check to see if the custom content is being shown but it is not. I download custom content from tumblr, the sims resource, and my sims 4 blog. What should I do now?

I have played the sims 4 and did not have a problem with it until now.

I have been having trouble as well with my custom content not showing up in my game. I have never had a problem with it until now and I do not know what to do. I have uninstalled the game two times and still there is no change. Can someone please help me?

Did you check if custom content is ticked in the game options ? There's a new option under Other

i have tried everything to get my custom content into my game. will someone please sort it for me? i have a macbook air and everything is okay. but when it comes into create a sim nothing shows up.

We can't sort it for you. You need to find out what's not working yourself.

Did you follow instruction to a T ? Do they show up on the mod/cc dialog ?

im having this problem and the cc is on i have previous things i have downloaded in the game but i recently put more cc in the mods folder and it is not showing up in the game. i have restarted and everything and no one seems to have a solution

I've been looking everywhere for an answer to this and I cant find one either. I've spent the last 5 hours trying to download CC and get it to work.. I've only gotten 1 cc to work which was a pair of jeans for clothing. I don't have any cc in sub folders just all in mod folders so i dont know what the problem is

Does it show in the overview mods window at the beginning ?

Are you sure they are for Sims 4 and not Sims 2 or 3 ?

It's really hard to distinguish what's cc and what's from the game as the icons are mostly all the same.

MIne doesn't show at the beginning. I have been trying for ages 

its the same here I click on resource.cfg and it says "how do you want to open this file?" where do I go for game options is it in game?

You want to open it with the notepad.

You can access game options from the menu that appears when you click in the "..." button in the top right corner.

I LOVE YOU!!! This was driving me crazy! Nothing I tried worked, until I read your reply saying it doesn't support subfolders. As soon as I took the hairs out of the subfolders (deleted the subfolders too) then went back into the game, it worked! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! :D

Can you please help? My CC isn't showing up, and I'm using an 2014 version of the Sims 4 that doesn't have an option to enable mods. I unzipped a few of them and put all the packages into the mods folder, no subfolders. At startup, they are all listed, but none of them actually work in the character creator.

me too! I swear i've WinRAR-extracted-drag-and-dropped-into mods folder all of the downloaded cc. 

I have a seperate Hair and shoes folder. I downloaded 2 hairs,put them in the folders,but they didn't show up.

i also have a Women's Clothing folder, which also contains 2.

except,one of the dresses in that folder passed all challenges (not literally though) and made it into CAS.

in my game options,i enabled cc,and they showed me the CC/script mods i have when i opened the game. 

So,all the cc i downloaded are in that list (trust me after opening and closing the game i made it important to see the list as soon as the game opens)

but in CAS,there's nothing. (except for that gown i'm so happy that got in) 

same !! its starting to ruin the game for me, i have always loved playing sims but now my cc isn't showing up on cas. i have followed all the steps correctly and its still not there its really annoying
