EA App Required Now?

I bought Horse Ranch today, and had the same problem I did when I bought Growing Together last March. Even with the purchase completed (bought through the EA app), the EA app doesn't recognize it being bought. No download button anywhere. Three chats with EA Help, multiple attempts at trying different things they suggested, and then the last help person said it's a known issue being worked on. I finally resorted to reinstalling Origin with a workaround I found on Youtube. When I did that and started Origin, Horse Ranch immediately starts downloading. However, I don't want to have to do this every time there's a new pack. What's even crazier is that the EA app still doesn't recognize I've bought and downloaded Horse Ranch. When I load the game, all the stuff from Horse Ranch is there, including the world. But the EA app doesn't "see" it and prompts me to buy it again.

I am becoming really, REALLY unhappy with the EA app. If these kind of problems happen every time there's a new pack, the EA app either needs a major overhaul or to be scrapped. We shouldn't be forced to use an app that causes so many problems for players.
