Re: EA sims4 keeps closing

I'm having the same issue it's really frustrating me. I have a high end gaming PC, windows and graphics card all up to date and sims is currently the only game installed so no shortage of storage. It's also a fresh install as I first had issues with updating. Now I can open the game no issues but whenever I play in live mode the game just closes, no error and the times I've managed to save the game before hand these saves ended up corrupted. I removed all save files and started a fresh slate but same issue. Everything was working fine before the series of updates the other day! I was in build mode for about an hour yesterday and after switching back to live mode the game closed itself within about 5 mins

  • @jdbaybee  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see whether it crashes.

If you do get another crash, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

Additionally, for the saves you've managed to create, what makes you say they're corrupted?  What do you see wrong with them?
