Re: [ed35e0ea:29f00e76:00000000:18a1dd51]

Hi all! I have the same problem on my system. I am using Windows instead, but the error code I got was the same. The only difference has been that I just bought the game a week ago and got the error without even play it.

  • @crinrict I have great news! I finally found the problem and fixed it. Based on what you said, I searched possible solutions (not related with any kind of game, but in general). I found some articles from Microsoft and tried to understand what could cause the problem. Basically, I realized that in case your Windows account has an email account from Outlook or any kind of organization, it should have some permissions for you to play with the options like in Windows Defender. That was why I could not see or reach "Virus & Thread Protection" since the Outlook blocked automatically. After I created a new Windows user with admin props, I deleted the one which I used previously (I did not put any kind of account email this time). Therefore, I can see "Virus & Thread Protection" part right now. I applied the method that you mentioned previously. It finally worked. I appreciate your help from the beginning! ENJOY!!

  • @crinrict I updated all of my drivers and also the system. After that I tried to clean boot (I did it for several times actually). None of them really worked. Anyway, thank you very much for your help.

  • @crinrict I use Windows Defender. However, I tried to turn it and the Firewall off completely in order to try The Sims 4. It did not worked neither.

@Kriptonic1 What language are you playing in and what language is your Origin ?

It's odd that you get the initializing error on trying to save the family to the library.

Can you save the game at all or does that also give you errors ?
  • @crinrict I am using English (US) for both. Well, I cannot play the game right now. I could play the game two times. In the first time, I took the tutorial part and tried to create a new family. After finishing the creation, it asked me to save the family before starting game. When I clicked "", nothing happened and I waited for a long time. Therefore, I decided to closed the game with Task Manager. This situation happened when you told me to try it by creating a new user as admin. After that point, I started to receive initialization error. I tried to play with the options of Windows Defender and Firewall (I turned them off completely and run the Origin as an administrator). Finally, it worked and I played it. Nothing happened during the game for that time. After I shut my PC down, I have received the initialization error and none of the previous suggestions worked for this time (I reinstall both the game and Origin, turned off all the defender and firewall and tried to run everything as admin).

Other than that, for example if I delete the game and delete "The Sims 4" folder in Documents and reinstall it, I cannot run the game since it cannot create a new folder as "The Sims 4" in Documents.

  • @crinrict I do not have the option "Virus & Thread Protection" in Windows Security. I gave the exception through Windows Defender Firewall.

@Kriptonic1 Sorry, I misunderstood what you were saying. I still have that on updated Windows so it's odd that you don't. Only reason I know this to disappear is if you have another virus protection which you said you don't.

If you search for Ransomware in the search bar, is anything showing up ?

Could you also check your Windows updates if there's anything still open ?

Could you also post a picture how that looks for you with the missing Virus & Protection ?

@Kriptonic1 I'm really glad you were able to fix it.

That research will also be helpful for anyone else facing the same issue.

    Enjoy the game.
