Re: [FIXED] Loading family just loads Map again

  1. Are you using custom content or mods in your game?  Two mods (no background blur, and the "no genocide" one), but I have tried to play the game without it, too.

  2. Do you have this issue only on a particular save game or on all of them?  All saves.

  3. Can you start a new game for testing purposes ok?  No, same issue exists, kicks me back to map (interesting note, I tried to place my new Sim household in Oasis Springs, and the map for Willow Creek shows).

  4. Do the backups of the saves work (Here's instructions how to access them)?  No, it did not.

  5. If they do, do they corrupt after a while too?  n/a

  6. Do you have any lastexception.txt files in documents\electronicarts\thesims4\ ? If so, please zip them up (all of them) and upload to mediafire or dropbox and post the link here.  https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/77677686/lastException.zip 

Another thing to note is that I downloaded the patch on 12/16 and it WAS working find through 12/18 just fine. On 12/19, it didn't work. I didn't do anything to change the game between the last time it worked and the time it didn't. I have also cleared out the cache, and that didn't help, either.

Thanks for looking into this! Sims 4 is 100% unplayable for me right now. ☹️

    Could you try moving your entire saves folder to the desktop and see if you can start a new game then. Also you say only to mods but no hair/clothing or anything of that kind ?

    No CC -- I'd had a few hair and clothes a while back, but I'd experienced a lot of crashing which I eventually tracked down to them, so I've been no CC for a while.

    Okay, saves folder out, and a brand new Sim holdhouse seems to have loaded fine. I don't like the idea of where this is going, as one of my saves was my six-generations-in Legacy family...

    I've done a save-as and exited to the Main Menu, and tried to load it again. Household loaded fine, didn't send me back to the map.

    I guess the next step is trying to put those saves back in? Or do you think this means they are done for?

    When i launch the sims 4 everything goes smooth. I select my family. Loading....... BOOM! Im at the map. All day this happened. No content installed, no mods.

    Are you guys ashamed at how you ripped us all off with this game? Are you at embarrassed at how crappy it is?

    I tottaly agree. I've waited a long time fr the game and now it's not working. To much techonlogy now i just wish it was like Sims 2 again.

    Having the same problem spent $100 because EA told me it was my computer not their game.  So glad to know I am not alone thought it was only having this proble.

    I deleted my twin family from their home into the manage household area.  Then i went into a diffrent household and it was fine for half an hour then it was loading and it kicked me back to the map again. Same problem diffrent day!

    As seen in the Subject line, newly created individuals will not open when placed on a lot, I also tried to enter one of the existing businesses (original 4) in the 'build' mode and it simple refreshed as well.

    No the problem still exists. I can create a family move them on to a lot but then I can't go onto that lot to do anything.
    No it did not.

    It seems I'm having the same problem as everyone else I click on my house it goes to the load screen and then straight back to the map.

    i am having the exact same problems as you. i tried starting a new game and the same thing happens ☹️ I cant play at all.

    I'm having the same issue, and would answer all the above questions in the same way.  The game is absolutely unplayable right now, no matter which household I select.  I pops me back to the map screen.  I've tried switching people around, making completely new households, etc.  The game simply won't play at all now.  Started for me when I asked someone to move in, and "managed" households as to who moved where.
