Re: Game version didn't update.

I actually just got a USB to transfer all Sims mods to so that it's not taking up space on my laptop and have transferred quite a bit onto it so far. I've also been checking the in-game version and it has stayed the same, 1.94. Attached a photo of that for reference.

Ran the DISM with no errors. The second one said 

"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at
windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag."

The only thing I use the USB-C for is to plug my phone in every once in a while so there's nothing currently plugged into that.

I'm going to restart and everything now.

@KittyRIOTX  When you say you have infants, you've confirmed that the life stage itself is present and working?  Have you tested yet with no mods or custom content present at all?  If not, please do so now.

Yes, I am currently playing a household that has two infants. I just ran the game without CC and mods and it is still the same. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

@KittyRIOTX  Please go into [install location]\The Sims 4\__Installer and look for a file labeled installerdata.xml.  (I'm on my Mac right now, so I'm not sure if it's exactly the same in Windows, but there's likely a similar file.)  If you find it, open it in Notepad and look about seven lines down; you should see something like this:

gameVersion version="1.96.365.1230"

The 96 is the important point here; let me know what it says.

If all else fails, you can uninstall and reinstall the game.  Your user data is located in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, so back that up before uninstalling and you won't lose anything.

I think I figured it out. I used Origin previously and was forced to switch over to EA. That file does show the proper game version, I'm just not sure how to get it from Origin to EA without messing anything up.

@KittyRIOTX  I'm not sure what you mean here.  Do you have two copies of Sims 4 installed?  If not, what do you mean that you need to get the file to the EA App?

The point here is that even when switching to the EA App, you shouldn't have needed to reinstall Sims 4: the App should recognize your Origin install and launch and update it as normal.

When it all switched over, there were two folders left in the Origin Games folder. The Sims 3 and 4. One attachment shows the folders that were left in the Sims 4 and the other shows everything that was left in "__installer".

The installerdata document shows the proper version, 1.96.365.1030.

@KittyRIOTX  Alright, so the log does say it installed the correct game version.  What, if any, content are you missing in-game?  If there's nothing at all missing, I wouldn't worry about it.

If you do notice any missing content, try disabling Avast and repairing the game, then see if you get the option to update.  (The repair may fix everything without requiring an update.)  If this works, set exceptions for TS4_x64.exe and EADesktop.exe in Avast, as described here:

There's nothing missing, but I'm getting exceptions due to game not being up to date, even though it technically is.. All of my DLC and updates are in Origin in C drive instead of documents.

@KittyRIOTX  Did you try disabling Avast and repairing the game?  Do you see the infant life stage in-game?  You can check CAS if you don't have any households with babies to test with.
