@kreatora I am working on the mods now and trying to find the one responsible.... I loaded a vanilla game and it worked find so know its a mod that is now good after the update

are you talking about ui cheats extension?
ok well I will go download mcc and ui cheats and see if that was the issue.... removed ui cheats and gonna boot game with that removed and see if that takes care of it
well it was the ui cheats and now I can reloads my cc clothing and go download the new versions... glad I came here it saved me hours of work eliminating a little at a time... glad I found this place 🙂

New problem... in cas skin tones and details are not showing... its not a mod... when I saw that I removed all mods to make sure it was not that... was the vanilla games I used before.

In this situation, it is more a game bug than your game fault.
But before you can make a bug report, you should check it in the vanilla game. Maybe some files in the game folder have been damaged by the mod. To check it do like it is described below.
Step 1. Rename The Sims4 folder to "The Sims4 old"
Step 2. Fix the game in Origin
Origin/Library - right-click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.
Step 3. Turn on the game - a new game folder will be created and you will have two - one old, one new
Step 4. Check if you still have this problem in the newly created game folder.
If the problem disappeared
Step 5. Delete in the new game folder following folders:
"saves" and Tray.
Step 6. Go to "The Sims 4 old" folder and copy - your "saves " folder.
Step. 7, Paste this folder in a newly created game folder.
Step 8. Do the same with Tray folder mods folder and TrayDeleteItems file
Step 9. Is all is working properly delete The Sims4 old folder.
To make mods work again, you must turn them off again and play for 2 minutes. Save and quit. Now you can re-enable mods because these changes will be saved in the new files. It's ok I understand... I got it fixed the round about way... since the repair option was not there I backed up the mods, saves and tray items and deleted the folder the sims 4 and reinstalled a fresh game and loaded it to make sure it worked and it did so I moved all my saved stuff back and the game works fine now.... I think the repair option was not there cuz of the renaming of the folder to the sims 4 old.... all was fine with the repair option until then... was a long fix but its fixed and hopefully if anyone else has this issue they will find their solution in this post
Ok I now have a new issue... its only my saved games that I can not access the cas tools... I can't adjust body mass, change eyes or nose... nor skin tones or skin details... if I start a new game the tools are there... its only after the update that this showed up... there has got to be others who are having this issue... It's only my saved games

These files in your save probably broke when you tried to enable the game with mods for the first time after the update.
Unfortunately, these files cannot be repaired.
If you don't want to lose the family you played, just save it to your library just like their home and start a new game. You have MCC so you can easily rebuild their funds. And this is the only thing besides the friends that this family will lose. The career level will remain the same. Even for books written by the sim in the previous save, he will receive a salary. Well I did what you suggested and saved my household and house and started a new game with them and no mccc and now I can not right click to go to cas that way... shift right click only brings up the regular interaction menu... this is a bug from that patch... I did what you suggested every time and each time one more thing comes up.... no way is this a corrupt file... its a new game file... so it seems if I go to new game I can access my cas tools but once I get them into a home I can not get them back into cas to do any edits... I guess I will not be able to play this any longer... its not a mod.... did a vanilla game and still the same... started a new game from backed up sims and still the same.. didn't even get to get the house back out ☹️☹️
I have done everything possible to get my game back and no matter what I do nothing works... I know its not a mod as I have removed all mods reinstalled the game and made sure to have new files... nothing works... its got to be that update on the 5th... game was working perfectly until then... I have loaded a vanilla game.. started my saved household new and nothing... cas works fine when you are starting a new game but once you place them in the world the option is no longer there... and then when I do manager to get into cas the tools to edit the sim is not there... can't edit skin tone or details. no eyes or nose... the options are not even there.... gonna wait for the new game and download it and see if that fixes it... my mc is not even showing up... thought it may have been the updated version but when I put the old one back in the same thing...

If this happens in a new game without mods and CC it means that some sim of your family is bugged. The bugged sim can't be repaired.
However, if you put your mods and CC into the game again, it means that one of them is broken and this causes this error. Remove the mods folder to your desktop again and check if you still have this error, without CC and mods. - @kreatora everyone of my saved games can't have a broken sim.... however I am gonna back up all my houses and one household and download the new game and see if it fixes it... I still say it was that update as everything was working perfectly before.... if would seem to me if I had a broken sim it would have glitched before that update... so if the sim was not broken before that patch then the patch did it
- @sundancr If you are in "live" mode without mods, you do know your methods of editing in CAS are limited right? Unless you use cheats, the only methods are with the mirror (which has limited options) and the dresser (which has limited options).
If you want to be able to edit everything like when initially creating a new sim:
1. Press Ctrl + Shift + C to bring up the cheat console.
2. Enter testingcheats true.
3. Enter cas.fulleditmode (this enables you to make full edits, like when you start a new game)
4. Now click on a sim while holding Shift down. You should get an "Edit in CAS" option with all available edits. Yes I am very much aware of this thanks
