Re: How can I play Sims 4 without draining my battery rapidly? Battery health issue

@ggytygku  Are we talking about current battery life, or overall battery health?  These are not the same.  Sims 4 is a demanding game and will drain a lot of battery life in a short amount of time.  Playing on battery will also lower performance; how much depends on user and manufacturer settings on the laptop.  It should have no effect on battery health though, and I've never seen any evidence that that's the case.

If you're seeing the health decrease, not the life, does it stay lower after you restart your computer and plug in the laptop?  Please try this if you haven't already.  It's possible this is simply a reporting error, in which case a restart and brief charge might well fix it.

Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post so I can see what kind of hardware your laptop has.

Or, if you have a Mac, please list its full specs: everything under About This Mac including the operating system and except for the serial number.

There are certainly ways to decrease the drain on battery life while you're playing, but they come at the expense of performance and decent graphics.  I'm not sure it's a trade-off you'd want to make on a regular basis.
