@BylineBelife So, just to clarify, if you launch from the .exe, then sign into the EA App, the game doesn't launch after the sign-in works? (This used to work with Origin, at least for me.) And if you're already signed into the App and then launch Sims 4 from the .exe, that doesn't work either?
One of the recent EA App updates appears to have fixed this for me when launching from Steam, so I'm going to mark this as solved. If an issue occurs again I'll just start a new thread since this one fell off anyway. If anyone else was having this problem with Steam specifically, force your EA App to update and try again, it's working for me now.
I just got stuck in this offline hell when my ISP went offline. I can't believe this is still an issue. I can play any other single player game offline whenever I want.
So I'm back online now and updating everything and hoping that the update fixes this for me. What kind of company holds the games we purchase hostage behind a login app? It's surprising no one has started a class action lawsuit against these unfair practices. And, no, I'm not the one going to do that. I'm just venting.
