@colldbutter  You should not need to renew EA Play, regardless of what Origin says.  This happens sometimes when a subscription expires, but it's entirely fixable.  By the way, EA gave a free month of what was then Origin Access (now EA Play) to anyone who had two-factor authentication on their Origin account or who added it last October, so that may be how you got it.

Anyway, open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Uninstall.  You should see three options, one of which is "revert game edition," which would remove the EA Play version and give you access to the one you bought.  If you don't see this option, try clearing Origin's cache and restarting your computer.

If that doesn't help either, you can contact EA customer support and ask that the EA Play version of Sims 4 be removed from your account.  This is simple for a support rep to do.
