Yes, the game shows up in origin. I have spent all day trying to get it to work. I clicked on the desktop icon and on my game in origin; I ran as administrator; I restored previous version; I redeemed the product code; I downloaded DirectX; I uninstalled the game, and re-installed it. UpdateTool comes with Origin I think.

It's all right, I found Origin in my Downloads folder, and installed it. Alas, my game would still not play. In Origin, I right-clicked on Repair Game. It verified and installed, and then gave me a chime and the notice that Sims 4 was ready to play. I clicked Play, but still I got the message 'The Sims 4 has stopped working'. Did you remove your user files when uninstalling ?
