Re: Laptop Advice for running SIMS4 at Ultra settings, with LOTS of mods/cc.

@adambesbesss  This laptop is significant overkill for Sims 4.  That's obviously not a bad thing by itself, but if Sims 4 is the most demanding task you'll run on the laptop, you could spend significantly less money and get essentially the same results.  But if you want this laptop for other reasons, it'll work great for Sims 4.  It also looks like an excellent machine in general, both from its listed specs and from reviews I've seen.

Please keep in mind that Sims 4 will lag on any computer, no matter how powerful; it's just the way the game is built.  But on this laptop, lag should be as minimal as is reasonably possible.

You may also want to look into Simp4Sims's graphics overhaul, which can reduce lag on higher-end machines by forcing the game to use high LOD images more of the time, eliminating the delays due to switching back and forth.  It's a great option for computers that can handle the extra load, and it's fully removable with no consequences to your game or user data.

Thanks so much! And this machine's main task won't be playing the sims4, as I've mentioned before I do video editing, 3d work as well as photoshop. It's mainly those, and sims 4 on the side.

I may have other few questions, but I'll probably write them down tomorrow since it's a bit late now.

    Thanks again!!
