Re: Lots wont appear in gallery

@Aniyahjonae  I am not sure what you are trying to accomplice, perhaps someone else understands better. Do you want to download lots from the Gallery to use in your own save game; or upload your own creations to the Gallery to share with others?

Downloading from in-game, you just need to choose the icon for Place in game, or save to library, from the particular lot screen you are interested in.

From the Gallery website, the lots can be saved to your gallery, and next time you start the game/restart it you will find them in your in-game gallery.

I have only used the Tray folder when I am moving tray files from one The Sims 4 folder to another, by copy/pasting them. Nothing else needs to be done, and the next time I open the The Sims 4 folder with the copy/pasted tray files in its Tray folder; I find the lots in my in-game library, to place in game as I please, or upload to the gallery. The game will only read the folder named The Sims 4; so if you have several like me, renaming the one you want to load next is necessary.

If you are trying to do something different, please explain. 🙂

I am trying to use the downloaded lots that I have downloaded from online and place them in my game, however the lots that I have downloaded do not appear in gallery. I was told to extract my downloaded lots from online into my tray folder so that the would appear in my Gallery in the game but when I go to my gallery they are not appearing.

@Aniyahjonae   Thank you. I tested to download a lot, Angel's Small Home, from MTS, following the install description. The lot's tray files came in a folder of its own, so if extracted directly to Tray folder in The Sims 4 folder, the lot did not appear in my game library, since the tray files need to be on the top level. If instead extracted to for instance Desktop, I could copy the tray files from the Angel's Small Home folder; and paste them into the Tray folder. Perhaps this is what happened for you as well?

My computer speaks swedish, but you can check your own by this path: Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 4>Tray. This is how it should look:

Let me know if it solves your problem.

@Aniyahjonae  Thanks. Which lot is it? If it is on a third party download page, like TSR for instance, you can PM me the link; the rules don't permit those being linked in posts on the forum.

    A couple of things:

If the build has got CC: check the in-game Game Options>Other>Enable Custom Content and Mods.

Also Check the box for custom content under the tab Advanced, in the Gallery.

CC files inluded in the download goes in the Mods folder in The Sims 4 folder; not in the Tray folder.

Make sure all tray files are there. There should be: one .trayitem; one .blueprint; four .bpi; + one .bpi extra for each floor of the build.

Do other builds appear in your library, like EA builds, and your own created ones etc?
Did you find your The Sims 4 folder on the path I listed?
