Move The Sims 4 folder from Documents to the desktop and try to launch the game. It should spawn the new, clean game folder
If it will work it means that the problem is in your game folder and we need to find and solve it.

If it will not work it means that the problem is on your computer,
In this case, could you post your computer's DxDiag?

    Hello, I am having the same problem and have done as you said. My game launches now that I moved my folder to the desktop but now what do I do?

    Delete in the new game folder following folders:
    "saves" and Tray.

    Fix the game in Origin
    Origin/ My games library - right-click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
    You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.

    Go to the "The Sims 4 old" folder and copy your "saves " folder.
    Paste this folder in a newly created game folder.
    Do the same with Tray folder and TrayDeleteItems file

    If you don't have mods and CC skip next step
    - Check if there are newly updated version mods you are using.
    Then copy and paste your mods and CC from the old mods folder to the new one. First copy the scripts mods every time checking if the game is working properly. If you have a lot of CC try 50/50 method ( divide your CC into smaller batches for example 50 pieces in one subfolder and check these subfolders one by one)

    Launch the game and check if this problem disappeared.
    The last step - delete The Sims4 old folder.

    I hope this problem isn't related to your old save and some broken mod caused it. Let me know if it working properly after this.
