Re: Menu, buttons, & text are too small to read

@PerogieLeighWhat game resolution is that at? Must be 4K. The image is 2048 width and it's been sized down. Must be a huge resolution.

I'm not sure if its possible to size up the UI without lowering the resolution.

If you don't care about the resolution, lower it down to something like 1680x1050. The UI will get bigger then. {as well as your frame rate}

Edit: Found something...

If you really want to keep that massive resolution, you CAN make the UI bigger.

Check the file at "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\options.ini"

Look for a line that says "uiscale = 100"

Lower the number "100". The further you lower it, the bigger the UI will get.

  • I don't care about the resolution at all, but I don't believe the game gives me another option anymore. I changed everything I could under display settings with no luck. I'll try again tomorrow though, especially the uiscale you recommended; I've already shutdown my PC for the night.

    Try this:

    Load up the game. At the first screen, hit the three dots in the upper right corner, and select "Game Options"

    In the very middle of the screen under "Display Type" Make sure it says "Fullscreen" and not "Windowed Fullscreen" or "Windowed"

    The next box right below it, change it to "1680x1050" or whatever is nearest to that.

    Then hit the "Apply Changes" button and keep the changes.

    See if that fixes it.  If it does, you won't need to edit the options.ini file.

    This is a better solution as you will likely get MUCH better performance out of the game.
