Re: Missing Core/Activation.dll?

I beg to differ...  installed the 64 bit file and the _arm file wouldn't install and got the same error message as before.  "The program can't start because Core/Activation.dll is missing from your computer.  Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."  

Since I've reinstalled not only Mass Effect and Origin, I'm getting a little frustrated here.  It would be nice if a moderator would look at these comments and see if there's something else going on that might be causing the problem.  I know most of you are having trouble with Sims4, so I am dreading launching that game...

Thanks for the advice, but unfortunately, it doesn't work for everyone.  I'm on a WIN 7 Pro 64-bit Gamer build so I should have no problem running this game.

    @Braughless It sounds like you have some permissions issues on your PC. Is your main Windows User Account and admin one? If not, can you try logging in with an admin one, and be sure to approve any prompts your receive. 

    Make sure UAC is set to notify: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ie/windows/turn-user-account-control-on-off#1TC=windows-7


    Past this you can try temporarily disabling your security software when you install, to be sure that these aren't interfering. 

  • Thank you for responding.  I am the administrator on my PC and I ended up disabling my internet security suite in order to get the download to complete.  Code injections are a very common way to distribute a virus or malware, so my computer was blocking that particular feature of your install package.  I had to create a rule to allow code injections within your application to get the install to complete and to get the game to run.
