@maddiesyn  It sounds like something else might be going on with your computer that has nothing to do with Sims 4.  So please start with a virus scan.  Download Malwarebytes (the free trial is fine) from here:

Open it, click Scan > Custom Scan > Configure Scan, check all the boxes both for scans and for every drive listed (C and anything else you see), and let it do its job.  This can take anywhere from a few minutes to multiple hours, depending on the size of your drive(s) and what Malwarebytes finds.  Please attach its report so I can take a look.
