Re: my sims wont launch past the main menu

@lydiavictoria02  Please repair the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.  This may take care of some of the issues, at least.  Please test to see what does and doesn't work.

If your game still has issues, please move the entire Sims 4 user data folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  Don't add anything to it yet; just see if you can start a new save and play for a bit.  Test out both the CAS features and live play.

If that does well, you can copy one of your saves from the Sims 4 folder you moved to the new one in Documents\Electronic Arts.  (Saves are unsurprisingly located in the Saves folder.)  See if the save works, and let me know either way.

If your game still has issues even while you're playing a new save in a clean folder, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
