Re: Sims 4 Damaged/Missing Files Error

@sf8o4rl761cp  If you use a third-party antivirus, please disable it, then repair the game through Steam: open your game library, right-click the Sims 4 game tile, and select Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of the game files.

If that doesn't help, or you don't use an outside antivirus, please uninstall Sims 4 from Steam and reinstall it into a different location.  Create a folder on the root level of the drive of your choice, for example C:\Games is fine, but not C:\Program Files\Games.  Create a new Steam library there, as described in this article:

If you prefer, you can move the existing install to the new folder first, also described in the article.  This is less reliable than downloading a fresh copy but also faster; if it doesn't work, go with the fresh download.
