@LunaLucy2211 If the game is just somewhat laggy, not terrible, and you can't find any Sims 4 or Origin errors, then this might just be how your computer is going to run the game. The much worse lagginess all of a sudden isn't normal, and it needed to be addressed. But in the couple months since we've been troubleshooting, the game has gotten somewhat more demanding, especially with (but even to some extent without) the Eco Lifestyle pack. Your laptop is somewhat weak for Sims 4, and while you should absolutely be able to play, it may not be a smooth experience.
Having said that, if you'd like to do some hardware monitoring to double-check how the various components of your computer are performing, let me know. You can log a play session and send me the results to look over, so I can see whether there's anything that should be addressed. It's difficult to tell sometimes where the normal low performance from underpowered hardware ends and lag from actual problems begins.
Regardless, you'll get the best experience if you don't run any other apps while playing, and you make sure your laptop can cool itself effectively. Elevate the computer—use a laptop tray, or put books or similar under the corners—or use a cooling pad. Restarting the computer before playing can also help free up resources.
