Re: Sims 4 not launching

@12242212  If you haven't restarted your computer—a real restart, not sleep and wake or even a shutdown and reboot—please do that first.  If that doesn't help, please uninstall the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), download a fresh copy of the installer, and use that to reinstall.  Run both Steam and the EA App as an admin before trying to launch Sims 4.

It's also worth repairing the game in Steam.  Open your game library, right-click the Sims 4 tile, and select Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of the game files.

@sbjvqhqnjb62  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
