@champagne_probs The Sims 4 crashes in your dxdiag (and thanks for providing it) reference a component of DirectX 9, so try reinstalling it. You don't need to uninstall anything; just run the installer and restart your computer, as described here:

Please also tell Windows to use your Nvidia GPU for Sims 4—the Control Panel setting doesn't always take. Hit Windows key-i, select System > Display > Graphics settings, click Browse, find TS4_x64.exe on the list, and set it to use the high-performance option.
If these steps don't help, try forcing the game to launch in windowed mode. Go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, open Options.ini, search for fullscreen , and set it to 0 (zero).
If this doesn't help either, please post a screenshot of the error you're getting or write out the text. There are a couple different errors that could fit your description, and I want to be sure I'm thinking of the correct one.
