Sims 4
Hello I am thinking of buying a new laptop but before i buy my new laptop i want to make sure this laptop can open sims 4 (not the legacy edition, what i mean is the normal version sims 4 ) . I w...
@kirstey08 There are lots of laptops for under £500 that would run Sims 4 (the standard version) quite well. You may not be able to play on ultra graphics settings, especially if you install most or all expansion packs, but medium-high or high settings should be fine. For example, this laptop is £450:

These laptops all have the same or equivalent hardware and should have roughly equivalent performance, plus or minus a few percentage points. However, they only have half the storage, still enough for Sims 4 and all the custom content you could ever download, but not necessarily enough for storing a large amount of data. Still, if you don't like the one above for whatever reason, these are perfectly viable alternatives.

These two are £500 and have slightly better processors and graphics chips, which means performance should be a bit better. They also have 512 GB storage like the first one.

Since all of these laptops are in the same overall category, it's totally reasonable to pick the one you like best based on whatever other criteria matter to you. Whichever one you choose, Sims 4 should run very well.
If you have more questions, please feel free to ask.
The laptop that i am using now is a macbook air 2017 ( apple ) and I want to buy a new laptop which is better than my current laptop.
I want to ask which one ( recommended laptop) is better than my current laptop ?
Or do you have any other recommendation?
Thanks
@kirstey08 All the laptops I listed are significantly better than a 2017 MacBook Air. It's not even really a fair comparison. And the laptops I listed are the best I could find for under £500. And this is the best category, performance-wise, that exists at all until you get into the category of gaming laptops, which generally start around £700.
Thank you for your reply.
If i want to buy samsung laptop ( instead of other brand), do you have any recommendation ( that can run sims 4 standard version ) ?
Thanks
@kirstey08 This is the best I could find:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Galaxy-Windows-Storage-Version/dp/B091TZ1GB7
It has the same hardware as the group of four other laptops I listed and should therefore be in the same performance category. The Amazon site doesn't list the processor, which is strange and very unhelpful, but I looked up the product number and found its specs.

The next-cheapest option I found is the same thing but sold by Currys:
Other than that, Galaxy Books are either closer to £700 or have ARM processors, those models I mentioned as not supporting 64-bit gaming.
