@c45c3d6f635cd897  Please install the newest-available driver from Intel for your laptop's processor and graphics chip:

    https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/196603/intel-core-i51035g1-processor-6m-cache-up-to-3-60-ghz/downloads.html

You want the driver for 7th-10th gen CPUs, dated September 3.  Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator."  Restart your computer after installing and before trying to play.

  • Hi,

Thank you for your response and for recommending the specific graphics driver. I installed the exact version you suggested, but unfortunately, I'm still encountering the same problem.

I've attached a screenshot to show that the driver version is now installed on my system.

Perhaps I'm missing something during the installation process. There is a checkbox that allows me to choose between a clean installation—which removes old drivers and resets settings to default—or proceeding without it. I tried both options to be sure.

According to the installer, I've already attempted to install this driver once before. Despite these efforts, it seems nothing has changed for the game, and I'm still receiving the same error message.

Do you have any other suggestions on what I might try?

Thank you again for your help.

    Best regards,

In attachment you can find a driver which i installed and specific details of graphic driver directly from my PC (i found it through "device manager")

@c45c3d6f635cd897  Please run a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:

    • Hit Windows key-X
    • Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
    • Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes, and enter
    • The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
    • After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
    • Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator)”
    • Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes, and enter
    • Post the message you receive here

Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates.  If any install, restart again afterwards.

If you get the same error, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If that doesn't help either, please let me know what antivirus you use.

  • That's crazy. I followed your instructions, you can see both reports in atachment bellow, and i can finally say - it's workin! YAAAY.

Thanks a lot for your help!

  • Hello,

After following your previous advice, I was able to play the game for approximately three days without any problems. However, suddenly, the same issue as before has occurred. This morning, the same error message appeared again when I tried to launch the game.

Do you have any suggestions on what might be causing this recurring issue or what steps I can take to resolve it?

    Thank you for your help.

You were asking for which antivirus I am using right now and it is Windows defender. I noticed the last time i was looking for updates, the moment before everything was ok, the system found latest updates for this antivirus. But this time when I tried to repeat your list of helpful steps it was not working.
