@Katana248 Is your graphics card now recognized? In Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4, open the file labeled config.log, scroll down about 30 lines, and check the found and supported values next to your card's name. If you see [Found: 1, Supported: 1], your card is now properly recognized. If it's not recognized, or you're not sure what you're looking at, copy that line and the next three into a post here.
The lag can have a number of reasons, including rating your card as ultra when it's not capable of handling ultra graphics settings. But it could also be unrelated. Please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post, to cover as many bases as possible.
