@kenziefall Please go into Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 and delete options.ini. You'll need to reset all your in-game options, but hopefully the changes will stick this time.

Im having the same issue, abd there is no item called “option.ni” in my EA >The Sims 4 folder. Help!
@NayTriesThings There has to be an options file in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4, at least there has to be one if you've played the game and haven't manually deleted the file or the folder it's in. But that may not be relevant here. In the last few months, the most common cause of this issue has been an antivirus program blocking Sims 4's access to the Documents directory. Please see this thread for more details and suggestions:

I found one options folder with an X over the icon. I’m assuming there was some error with it loading with the Sims launching. I removed it and everything is swell now👍 I won’t have the options file, I have tried everything and script mods still won’t stay on.
