Debug items invisible when placed

Like the title says, some debug items are invisible when being placed. I can see them in the catalog just fine, but when selecting to place, they are invisible. Sims can walk through the 'placed' item, so it's like it wasn't placed at all. I've noticed this with a couple of Cottage Living items, some plants and mushroom debug items from that pack. 

I do believe I have tried absolutely everything at this point to no avail. I've searched forums high and low. Removed my mods and cc and did a clean install. Right now my game is not modded/does not have any cc and the issue still persists. It's not the end of the world, but if there's a fix, I'd love to know. Thanks in advance.
