Delete the localthumbscache.package file in this directory. This helps to "fix" some gameplay bugs."(this was posted in the sims4studio forum).I hope it helps you!

@haako40 Sounds like the game can't load the picture for some reason.Moving this to tech for troubleshooting.So far I've only seen this happing for the gallery or other elements that need an online connection but for the portrait this is weird.Could you try repairing your game by right-clicking on it in Origin ?

Im also having the problem only for me, its showing up in a pic of a sim who has passed away in a family tree. Im trying to keep track of my family tree but i can't see past the one with the red x. I tried clearing cache and that didnt work and I also repaired the game and restarted my computer. Is there anything else that could work? I dont have mods either

@arianator3942 Are you on PC or mac ? Is it just that one Sim ?

So far I've only seen this happing for the gallery or other elements that need an online connection but for the portrait this is weird.

Could you try repairing your game by right-clicking on it in Origin ?

I use a surface pro ( I think thats a mac). Currently yes its just that one sim

At the moment the gallery appears to be fine ( i dont use it that much but i took a quick look and nothing seemed off) . I decided to attatch a pic to show the issue in case that is useful. Also I found yesterday apparently I did have one mod. I have no idea why it was there, how it got there, or what it did cause I don't recall ever adding mods but whatever it was in the mod folder I deleted it, but it didn't do anything
