Roommate Bug - Can't access roommate menu/remove from lot

Hi there,

Been having an issue with the Roommate function of the University pack. I placed an add for a roommate in an apartment lot. When I tried accepting the roommate applicants, the applicant and my sim would teleport to the front door of the apartment. The roommate applicant left and another arrived and the same thing happened again when I tried to accept. Later in the day in game, the two sims came back and are now living in the house, however there's no visible roommate menu and I can't get them to leave the apartment.

I have another sim in the same building but a different apartment. These same roommates are also acting like they live in her apartment but there's still no roommate menu and she never applied for roommates. 

Wondering what I can possibly do to solve this? Not sure if there is some way I can just delete these two NPC roommate sims from the game?

    If you have any mods move mods folder to the desktop.
    Delete localthumbcache.package file in the game folder. Delete also all folders with the word "cache" in the name.
    Fix the game in Origin.
    Origin/Library -right-click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
    You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.
    Turn on the game to create a new, empty mods folder. Check if a game is working now properly.
    If it is fixed, copy from desktop your mods and CC and paste it in the new mods folder. First, paste script mods every time checking if the game is working properly. Do the same with CC but if you have a lot of this, try the 50/50 method ( divide your CC into smaller batches for example 50 pieces in one subfolder and check these subfolders one by one)

    If you still will have this error try doing a factory reset of the game folder as is described here.
