Save Game notification?

Okay, I've searched this multiple times and simply cannot find an answer. My game all of a sudden gave me this notification at the start menu saying something about the "save game was saved in a newer version of game" so i tried updating it because that is what it suggested. That did not help in the slightest bit...  So i looked up the notification and there was a solution for everyone else who had the problem. Emptying casche and saves. I did that. I also tried repairing the games 2 or 3 times. Then i uninstalled it and re installed it. This is super irritating and i lost almost 100 hours :') heeeeelpp!

  • Creating a shortcut doesn't move it.

    1. Click on this folder to select it: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\save
    2. Press CTL-X to cut
    3. Switch over to your desktop
    4. Press CTL_V to paste

This should move your folder so that it's no longer in documents\electronicarts\thesims4\

Then start the game and see if it works. If it does, Open the saves folder on your desktop and start putting the saves back (this time ctl-C to copy and ctl-V to paste. Do it one by one and test the game after each.

So if you move the entire saves folder to the desktop, then start the game you still get the same message or after putting the files back ?
