Title: Script Mods setting resets to OFF after every restart (Sims 4 version 1.125)
Description:
Since updating to Sims 4 version 1.125, I have been experiencing a persistent issue with the “Script Mods Allowed” setting in the game.
Every time I enable this option in Game Options → Other, apply the changes, and restart the game as requested, the setting automatically resets to OFF after reboot.
This happens every single time and prevents script mods such as MC Command Center from functioning.
What I have already tried:
- Deleted Options.ini
- Deleted localthumbcache.package
- Checked correct installation of script mods (.ts4script and .package files placed correctly)
- Tested with and without Mods folder
- Game repaired via EA App
- Excluded OneDrive
- Checked Windows Defender (no restrictions found)
Expected result:
The “Script Mods Allowed” setting should remain enabled after restarting the game.
Actual result:
The setting resets to OFF every time the game is restarted.
Additional information:
- Game version: 1.125
- Platform: Windows 11 (EA App)
- Issue affects all tested script mods (e.g. MC Command Center)
- Custom content (.package files) works normally; only script mods are affected
