My Sims 4 crashes every 5-10 minutes. When it crashes, my work is never saved. It crashes during CAS, gameplay, building, etc... and it's really annoying. Yes, I have mods, but when I played without ...
Great! Now all of my Sim 4 worlds have been erased.
@lianelianeliane Your worlds aren't erased—the save files are still intact in the folder you moved. You can transfer your saves back later, once you get the crashing under control. For now though, the point is to see whether a brand new save in a completely clean game folder runs better. There are so many causes of crashing, it's necessary to narrow things down before making any troubleshooting suggestions.
Let me know how the new save runs in the clean folder, and if it still crashes, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
It didn't crash.
@lianelianeliane Okay, that's great news. Now you can start transferring your mods to the new folder in batches, testing each time. If you get another crash, you'll need to split the last batch of mods you added and test again until you find the problem file(s). You can do the same for your custom content. (If it's easier, you can just download updated versions of everything you can find rather than hoping the old versions still work.) Once you've removed the corrupt files and confirmed that you can play with the others with no crashing, you can copy your saves to the new folder as well.
In case it helps get you oriented, here's an explanation of all the files in your game folder:

I just realized that the game is crashing even when I don't have mods or CC, so here is my dxdiag.
I'm new to this, sorry.
