Shadows are weird and make the game laggy?

Hello everyone!

I have a serious problem, that makes my game unplayable.Before i go on i want to mention that this problem might have been mentioned before.The only difference is that it makes my game extremely laggy.

Okay so here's the deal,

When i first installed the game everything was fine except...the shadows.I could see no shadows and the game looked terrible.After some patches/updates i finally saw my shadows in-game but the problem is that they appear when my camera is really zoomed in.While i zoom out all the shadows disappear and at one point all the shadows have disappeared.Because of that when i try to move the camera the game lags a looot. (I believe that is because the shadows have to generate everytime i move the camera).Let me note that my graphics are set to medium, excluding Sims,Objects and Lighting that are set to high.Also i have disabled post proccessing and Laptop Mode is enabled.I have managed to enable shadows working while LaptopMode is on through the graphicrules.sgr and i managed to do it successfully.

I tried messing around with the graphicrules.sgr to fix my problem and i haven't found anything as of now.I would really appreciate a solution because the sims 4 looks like a great game and i really wish i can play it without any problems.
