Sims 4 - Restoration kit my items are not broken

Just purchased the kit, and looking forward to fixing items. The problem is the items are already fixed when I look at them in build mode. Does anyone else have this issue?

    Solved the problem. Here is a head up for anyone else that encounters this. It turned out to be an "unlocker mod" that makes things that are usually unavailable an option in build mode. As it turns out, I discovered that it caused all of the appliances to show up in their unbroken state. The trick is to select out of the group the broken one. It is dark blue and when placed that one will be broken. Now that I know that I can select the broken ones when I need to. 

    I think I will keep the mod as it is nice to be able to buy an upbroken one from time to time and I also enjoy the other items it unlocks. It keeps me from have to use debug so often.

    Have you placed them in a build or checked in live mode? I think they "break" upon placement.

    I went into build mode and they are pristine! Same in live mode. I guess it could be a mod, but I can't imagine which one.

    After you place them and interact in live mode, they are still pristine?

    Yes, the only option are to start using them. I guess I am going to have to go through my mods. The only one I can think of that might be an issue is an instant update mod. So I am going to remove that and see what happens.

    No, I have removed every mod that I can think of.  The issue is still there. I'll have to wait and see if anyone else has the issue.

    Sorry you have this problem. Just in case you haven't tried these things already, have you deleted the cache files, repaired the game, tried with absolutely all mods and CC removed or tried with a new Sims 4 document folder? It may be worth trying.

    I just figured this out, too!! I had "show hidden objects" enabled and wasn't choosing the appliances that have the swatches!
