@jpkarlsen How do I do that?
I had the same issue last year around when the new university pack came out but all I know is that it cannot be the University pack. I fixed it somehow and I’ve forgotten what I did. It isn’t a mod for all I know and it isn’t my mouse either!
I soon stopped playing the sims 4 because I later got attached to another that I started playing for the next few months. I like to switch back and forth with my games. I had uninstalled the sims 4 and later started wanting to play it again! I opened it up the first time with only the sims 4, no other expansion, stuff or game pack and not having put a single mod in the folder. It was fine! Well that was until I started loading the rest of the games and put the mods in that it started having that problem again!
ive tried playing the sims 4 on 3 different computers and none work anymore. You’re not alone. :’(

In Origin rightclick the game. Select Game properties. and remove the check by Enable Origin in game...
