Sims 4 crashes on startup
My Sims 4 refuses to load past the start screen, it MAY get to the loading plumbob but it usually becomes unresponsive prior to then. I have been playing the game since launch, have installed the outdoor retreat pack, and I have had no issues starting the game until today. I have tried the following to solve the problem:
1) Cntr+Alt+Del to close game, then tried to restart game.
2) Shut down Origin and restarted game.
3) Ran a full system virus scan to check that it wasn't a malware issue
4) Restarted computer then tried to launch game again
5) Backed up save files then repaired game through Origin...twice
6) Checked for updates
7) Tried to launch game whilst Origin was in "Offline" mode
8) Ran boot time scan then tried to restart game
Each time the game becomes unresponsive, the loading music continues to play. The only way to shut it down is to Ctrl+Alt+Del, bring up task manager and stop process.
As I said, the game was running fine until today (15th March Australian time). Getting pretty irritated that it has suddenly decided to start crashing.
