whiletheflies Fairies can be a problem when they have custom tattoos, or glowing tattoos, or sometimes for reasons that aren't clear (to me at least). Innisgreen also has some issues, particularly on the pond lots and the tree house. So I would test non-occult sims living in a different world.
A monitor is driven by whatever GPU it's connected to, so your iGPU wouldn't be involved in rendering anything on-screen unless you hooked the monitor up to the motherboard. Laptops are wired differently, but that's not a concern here.

Thanks so much for your help - I did a quick google and someone else had the same problem playing Innisgreen? I will try another neighbourhood and see if it still happens - I can upload a lastcrash but they're super unreadable so not sure if that'll help.
