sims 4 crashing (steam)

Beginning either 6/5 or 6/6, my game has started crashing randomly. I can't pinpoint what causes it. I can play for anywhere between like 5-20 ish minutes before it closes the app with no warning and takes me back to the game launcher.

I play through steam with my EA account linked, and I have tried

uninstalling all my mods and CC

verifying the integrity of my files multiple times

uninstalling and reinstalling steam on my computer

updating my graphic driver (though it was my first time ever doing so; i may have done so incorrectly)

updating windows
