Sims 4 crashing when entering build mode

When trying to edit a lot from the neighborhood, I'm taken to the typical loading screen and it would load a bit before it crashes saying "Sims 4 has stopped working". 

Before the crashes started happening, I was editing this lot just fine until I accidentally pressed the F1 key  and it took me back to the neighborhood screen and the game crashed when I tried to go back to edit my lot. Now every time I try to edit this lot, the game crashes. Prior to pressing the F1 key, I used the bb.showhiddenobjects cheat to place a fire distinguisher in my lot. I have used this cheat before with no problem. I have been working on this lot for 2 days and have not added any new CC into my game during that time, so I don't think it's a CC problem.

I have tried repairing the game and restarting my computer but none of these methods fixed the problem.
