Hello first off let me say, yes. my computer can run sims flawlessly fine. Yes, I have at least 1GB left for saved games. I was playing a household fine, was able to load the game and continue on a "saved game". The third time I opened the game, the saved game was gone. However, origin has saved the sim I made, and has a recorded "11 hours of playing time" but NO GAME TO LOAD!! I started a new sim and house hold, a whole new game. I logged in the next time, and again, NO GAME TO LOAD!! How am I supposed to play Sims... if it keeps deleting my SAVED GAMES?!?! This is incredibly annoying and a complete disappointment. 11 hours on a household gone. Thanks EA. PLEASE HELP ASAP. (CM: Edited thread title to remove ALL CAPS)

Problem solved for me by EA Support but you will not be able to recover the previously saved games. This worked for me and I am now able to save and play them again later. Here's what you do:Repair game thru Origin, then check for updates thru Origin (right click on the game and those options come up on the list) make sure you are not running the game at all while doing this. then go to Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Then go into the "cache" folder and delete all the cache files.Then go to "Saves" folder and delete all the files.Then go into the "scratch" folder within the "saves" folder and delete all the files which have the words "savegame" in it.Then launch the game and create a new game and save it, exit the game, and go back in, the saved game should be there.Hope this helps!

I am having a simalar issue but instead of the game deleting my save files it is corrupting them into saying they were saved with a newer version of the game then i have installed, so i cant use them.I have tried everything and still save files are from a "newer" version.

I've had the same issue with my saved games. I followed the instructions by deleting savedgame files, cache, etc and it worked for about a week before the game deleted the saved game again. I followed the same steps by deleting the saved games, etc and again.....it only worked for about a week before the saved games deleted a third time. I have had to follow those instructions 4 times. I can't save my sims households permanently without the orange "error" message telling me that my game isn't up to date.. All progress and everything is lost after about a week of play time. This is frustrating. I think this game has more problems than any Sim game I've ever played. It makes me regret having purchased it. My computer can certainly handle the gameplay. I'm not sure why there isn't a patch to fix this issue. I hate getting my sims to the top of their careers , building up their skills , letting them have kids and grandkids only to have the game to continually delete all that progress. Not fun ☹️(((. Four times....come on EA.

I have had a similar problem. Played for a couple of hours last night, saving the game at just before 10pm GMT.
Save game shows, with the time stamp of 9:53, but is just showing the house before I started playing?
Any ideas please EA?

Hi Tiffany my name is Cisco and I'm from England and about 2 hours ago for the first time after I started up my Sims 4 game and got to the main menu I noticed that I couldn't load my save game up cos everything was back to nomal so I found your steps to fixing the deleted saves and I did it right so now I'm going to start the game up again!

When you go on the home screen you click the little save botton in the top right corner then u wave your mouse over the one you want to delete. Then a tittle cross will appear in the top corner of the save game and you click that. You have to have one game lett though. If you make a new game then save that then you can delete the last one
